]]>Freshen up. Before summer starts, make sure that you get a trim. No need to chop it all off, but summer is the season to freshen up your tips. While split ends might go unnoticed during a dreary winter, the summer sun will unfortunately expose your damaged hair.
Brighten Up. If you’ve always wanted to get your hair highlighted, summer is the season to take that step. Make sure you ask your stylist for natural-looking color, ask for several colors that blend rather than one. Bleach blonde highlights don’t look good on everyone so try different levels and tones of colors. For example, a combination of caramels and gold’s for a sun kissed look. Let your stylist know what look you are going for by bringing in a photo of your fave celeb locks. Tip: Use Moroccainoil Light to condition and style your hair, and keep your highlights bright.
Stay smooth. If your hair starts to frizz as soon as you step into the humidity you’re going to need a product that can tame that beast. There are plenty of effective and affordable anti-frizz creams, sprays, and serums, so pick one up and apply some before you head outside. Also, keep in mind that going to the beach, being out in the sun, or taking a dip in the pool all can result in damaged hair. Try Moroccanoil’s line of products, from their Oil Treatment to Hydrating Style Cream the line of products helps hair to keep its natural moisture and elasticity.
Style It. Soft, beachy waves and country-chic braids are big this season, and they’re effortless but elegant. Try different styles, but remember summer is more of a carefree time. You don’t want your do t o look to styled. Use Morroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to infuse your hair with a veil of shine that will glimmer in the sunlight.
Accessorize. Summer is the season for fun, flirty hair accessories. One of the hottest new accessories is feather hair extensions. They allow you to add a little funk and flair to your hair. Also, this is the perfect time of year to invest in some fashionable hats. They will not only make you stand out in the crowd, but it will also protect your hair and face from sun damage. If you’re not big on hats, tie a colorful scarf around your hair. These accessories are also quick fixes for the dreaded bad hair day.

]]>As the show progressed,150 other models briskly showed off the different trends of the Spring season, including Fifties Flair, Tartan Twist, Pure At Heart, Weekend Wrap-Up, Rock Chic, Go Global and Jazz-Age Cool. In the middle of the madness, Antonio Casale and team were backstage dressing the hair of Alek Wek who endured a fur hat on the warm, humid evening to show off “Go Global style.”
A few days later, Casale found himself backstage at the 2 most notoriously popular shows of the week, Marc Jacobs, and Marc by Marc. With a make up team headed by Francois Nars himself and Guido on hair, Casale worked on looks that combined the 70’s and 30’s themes seen throughout Marc’s collection. The beauty looks seamlessly intertwined the prim and proper lady of the ’30s and the effortless chic aesthetic of the 70’s. The Marc Jacobs collection was purely 70’s, taking references from Bianca Jagger and Jodie Foster from the 1976 film Taxi Driver, New York Dolls, Antonio Lopez, Yves Saint Laurent, and Calvin Klein. The result is a sexy collection pumped up with vibrant summery colors, wide-legged trousers, sheer kaftans, frizzy hair, with oversized hats and flower corsages.
